AJR a True Original Band
AJR is a highly creative and unique band. The band consists of 3 brothers: Adam Met, Jack Met, and Ryan Joseph Met. Jack is the lead Vocal; however, the other two also get involved in performing vocals. The instrumentation is all over the board, from guitar to ukulele, sampler, drums, keyboard, Banjos, etc. They work with it until they find the right sound for the lyrics being performed.
AJR’s journey to success began with their first notable single, ‘I’m Ready,’ which was the lead single on their 2015 album, ‘Living Room ‘. The song went Platinum in Australia, marking a significant milestone for the band. Their success continued with the release of their second album, ‘The Click, ‘in 2017. This album featured double platinum songs, ‘Weak’ and ‘Burning Down the House ‘.Down the House. Also, Sober Up, which went Platinum. In 2019, Their third album, Neotheater, had a hit song, Bang, which hit the Billboard Hot 100 song. Album Maybe Man in 2023 had hit songs Way Less Sad, Sober Up, and Yes, I’m a Mess. That album had over 11 million in sales.
AJR’s musical influences are diverse, ranging from Weezer and Twenty One Pilots to Daisy the Great, Kanye West, and Kendrick Lamar. This eclectic mix is reflected in their unique style, which has been described as a blend of hip-hop, electronic dance music, and jazz.
The band is touring throughout the United States and impacting the music scene.
